Fife & Drom

At the core of FIFE & DROM is husband and wife team Abby Ahmad and Mark Marshall. Established in early 2012, the NYC-based musicians pen original songs inspired by the works of blues pioneers Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Son House and beyond. Their name pays tribute to fife and drum blues music, a highly influential genre which emerged from Mississippi, the heart of Delta blues.

Joined by bassist/vocalist Adam Minkoff and drummer Sean Dixon, Fife & Drom's music incorporates the infectious rhythms/sounds from classic-era blues but adapts with content for today's life and times. Their explosive live shows have audiences captivated by the band's raw passion, ceaseless energy and powerful dynamics.

Something old, new, borrowed...something Blues.

"They say good things come to those who wait so we did our part and waited patiently for this album. It was clearly time well spent because this is top shelf material. There is not a weak track on here, front to back this is as good a piece of work as you will find. " -Glen Casebeer (American Blues Scene)

"The great thing about Fife & Drom is that they have a truly unique sound. They are clearly influenced by older, acoustic blues, but they don’t live in the past; instead they take the baton and run towards a frontier in blues that is all their own, making a memorable introduction." -Nik Rodewald (Blues Rock Review)
